physically very lightweight and very quiet (fans hardly ever kick in, and when they do, they're almost silent). it has a plastic body, but they make up for this by using a very attractive deep blue color, reminiscent of the old Silicon Graphics workstations and other 90s hardware I used as a kid. the keys are dark graphite with white backlit letters. one USB C port is the only downside I could see here (data only - no charging via this port)... though it does have a card reader and a fingerprint reader for the power button. the supplied charger is slim similar to the one you would find with a cell phone. comes with 4GB RAM soldered to the board plus a swappable 4GB (DDR4 3200MHz) which you can change out for 8GB to get 12GB total RAM. in terms of software, it comes with Windows 11 Home, which has the strange downside of requiring a Microsoft account to sign in and lacking the ability to join a domain and other more advanced networking features. minimal bloatware from Lenovo (all of which can be uninstalled, though you probably want to keep the Lenovo Utilities package to manage the hotkeys). comes with the "free" version of Office 360 as well as a 1yr version of McAfee Antivirus. this beats anything I saw at the big box stores in both specs and price; more than just a basic laptop. this matches or outperforms my Macbook Pro.

- The bottom is designed to allow air to flow beneath it, so it doesn’t overheat.
- Battery life is impressive.
- At 3.2 pounds, it’s pretty light considering everything it can do.
- The deep blue color is such a nice change from black or silver.
My only concern—and it’s negligible—is that the casing is plastic, not metal. I’m a klutz, and I worry what will happen if I drop it. But, that means it’s never cold to the touch, and keeps it lightweight.
I’m not a gamer, so I can’t speak to its usefulness for that, but so far it’s great for Adobe Creative Suite apps and Office 365.
At this price point, for this sweet little machine, you can’t go wrong. I literally have a crush on my laptop, lolz.
