The picture of the bag is inaccurate.. The actual front patch on the backpack is made of rubber, there are no Oakley symbols inside the bag, and upon opening the box, there is stitching sticking out on the bottom of the bag. I began to question the authenticity, until I called Oakley, and they verified that Amazon, is a licensed dealer, but even with that said, I’m beginning to question its authenticity. The previous Oakley Kitchen Sink I had, had the Oakley symbols inside the bag, with a cloth Oakley patch on the front, same as listed in the picture.. I’m hoping an amazon associate will reach out to me to discuss this at some point. This was a $150 item, and I expected a perfect description when spending that much on a back pack, not to mention the seam already starting to come loose right out of its packaging plastic.

I SERIOUSLY love this bag.
Pros:
- It's black.
- Tactical.
- Clip mounts.
- Fits three plastic water bottles per each pocket.
- Side straps on the pockets.
-Clamps keep backpack closed. Easy to detach by hand.
- Waist and chest strap. (Both heavy duty),
- Metal carry handle.
- The Little pocket on the left strap (I keep my fidget cube in there lol).
- The way the bag is designed, I could stand in the rain and none of my electronics would get wet.
- The front pouch is still accessible while strapped which is nice and I don't have to zip it unless it starts raining.
Cons:
NoOoOoOoOo! This is such a good bag! But alas, no bag is perfect.
- The top pocket (Protective pocket for media) I keep my mouse in. Very spacious and holds lots of stuff BUT if you forget to zip it back up before opening the main "lid" all the stuff falls out due to gravity. Grumble. It pains me when I forget and my mouse, thumb sticks, and pencils all go crashing to the floor. I have gotten used to it now but still, happens from time to time.
- The rain pouch and front pocket. I have yet to use the rain pouch as it shares the main pouches space. I don't have to store wet materials so this one can pass. The front pouch is still accessible while strapped which I mentioned before, but the problem is they are pouches, and not everything stays in them. I honestly would have liked pockets where the pouches are as trying to pull a pencil straight up is just weird and I would like to just go in and grab it.
Now...........my biggest con......
- They say "Versatile backpack featuring padded side-access sleeve for 17" laptop.....". Lies I tell you lies! Okay, not lies but my laptop's nickname is "The Behemoth" and she is THICK (Dell M4800). Coming in at almost 1.5 inches thick at 15.6 inches long, 10 inches wide she is a BIG momma. I bring her every where. I saw the side-access sleeve for 17-inch laptops and thought "Perfect! Mine is only 15.6!" Boy oh boy. I CAN get the laptop out, but it is like trying to pull a spoiled brat out of a candy store. I cringe as I can feel the zipper scratching away at my laptop as I force it out of the side pocket. So usually I just opt out and open everything up. If they gave me just half an inch more it would have been perfect.
Conclusion:
Would I buy this bag with its Pros and Cons? HECK YES I WOULD!
DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH YOU CAN STORE IN THIS THING?!?!?
Not only that but with the waist and chest straps, you barely feel it unless you are standing for long periods of time.
Like I put my 1.5 inch binder in there with my books, my Arduino boards, calculators, my "Behemoth" of a computer (6.4 pounds!), mouse(s) chargers, jackets, notebooks waterbottles, soda cans all in one load and yeah it was heavy but this bag makes all of that manageable!
>>I would definitely recommend<< this bag to students like me who love bringing everything with them everywhere.

So I'm writing this review one week into using the kitchen sink. These are my initial thoughts on the pack.
First thing to note is that I'm switching to this pack from a Swiss Gear 20L backpack I've traveled the world with. The Swiss Gear pack will literally fit inside this kitchen sink. Which is great now that I have two kids that I travel the world with. The main reason I bought this kitchen sink was for international travel. Now, I've not done that with it yet, but I have used it as my every day pack for a week. My normal every day carry items are my laptop, a novel, a journal, a 1000ml water bottle, several folders with business docs and all sorts of cords/gadgets a guy needs for surviving in South Asia a day. That all fits in the kitchen sink, with lots of room to spare. The pack looks great and is really comfortable to wear. I used it on a one day motorcycle ride through the Himalayas. It was perfect for that.
What it's missing (or more, what I'm missing from my Swiss Gear pack) is the ability to organize this large backpack. There's a an enormous laptop sleeve to divide the main compartment, but that is it. I wish there was a divider in the main compartment to help keep my books, journal, Kindle and others from shifting around so much in the pack. Also, the front smaller compartment may have pre-molded sleeves for things like flashlights and cellphone, but then it's just one big cavern of space so little things you put in there, like USB, hand sanitizer, pencils, etc just move all over the place. It needs a few mesh pouches or zip pouches to keep that stuff in place. The side compartments are the same. Really huge, but no organization possible.
In summary, the pack is great. I really like it and don't regret buying it. I have a feeling it will serve me well during those long, grueling international flights. However, as an everyday pack, just be aware that your stuff will not fill it and it'll be all over the place in the huge compartments. All in all, that's not a huge deal breaker. But, if you're walking away from a "tailor made for business guy" Swiss Gear pack with all sorts of organizational compartments, just know this bag is not that!

Purchased this bag for an overseas assignment. This trip required that I have a durable grab & go carrier at certain locations. (I did Not take this bag on my trip)!!! Because of the lack of quality, comfort & it had no structure support. Should be marketed as a sport sac instead. Unfortunately I didn't have time to send back because I had to suddenly leave the following morning. Now I have an overpriced under quality expensive backpack: still with original tags attached and packaging. I Do Not Recommend this product! This is a $49 backpack at best; not worth anywhere between 130 dollars to its original retail at 225!.. REALLY?!!?

Pre-plandemic I would have been too cheap to buy this, instead compromising on a cheaper sack at half the cost... Oh boy! Am I glad I spent the money. A worthy investment indeed. This rucksack is sick! And I haven't the time to write any more superlatives. You only live once indeed. And you will certainly be made up if you make this purchase. I have to admit I did wonder if I curled into a ball whether I might fit in it!😆🤣 Its gigantic. Its robust. I doubt I will ever need another! A glorious 10/10 6 star superior.

loved it . bought it. tried it. sent it back. why?
its amazingly put together / the style, the colour / the compartments.
BUT without my laptop and other stuff its soo heavy, i have no idea how much it weighs, but i put it on, and i thought ' this is too much and i have nothingn inside it '
perfect if your in the army and using it for travelling as your back would be solid and your very fit.
i row am fit and work out, this backpack is still too heavy for me to use as a daily backpack.
perfect for those who dont mind carrying around extra weight...

3.0 out of 5 stars Far too heavy.

This piece of kit is absolutely fantastic for holding all your Gear with many separate pockets and compartments. The only problem I found was, when empty, it weighed the same as my last one when it was full. I would recommend this if you are still young and fit enough to throw it around. For me, I'm looking for comfort rather than rugged durability.

Superb. Very impressed. Great quality for the price. The side pocket access to the laptop/tablet is really useful and the quick open front levers work really well. The hard case on the top for sunglasses/headphones is a clever addition to a great work rucksack.

You really do get what you pay for and this is worth every penny! High quality and comfortable. I think it looks pretty cool too but that wasn’t the deciding factor for purchase. It is quite heavy but a pack of this side is going to be and I feel the weight is a result of the high quality sturdy materials used. Zips and fasteners give a feel that they will last forever. If you can justify the cost to make the order you will not be disappointed upon receiving it that’s for sure.
