  The order came in a timely manner. The watch is what I expected and is easy to put on because of the latch on the watch. I did have to take it to a jeweler to have a couple of links removed. I love the numbers and it has the day and and date which comes in handy. It’s easy to change the day and date, just read the information on it. The face of the watch isn’t so big for my wrist.

  I am thrilled with this watch. The gold and brushed stainless metal means it goes with everything, whether gold or silver jewelry. The size of the face, the numbers, and black hands mean it is very easy to see the time, yet it is still small enough that it is obviously a woman's watch. And the month, day feature is something I love. What a bonus that it is solar powered! No batteries to fool with, although at some point it will need to have a solar battery replaced when it no longer holds a charge. I have no idea how long that will be, but I suspect years.
  
  If you plan on getting this to give as a gift, let me clue you in on a couple of things. Since this is solar, it will not operate when first unwrapped unless you do a little prep. The watch should be set inside in the sun for 5-6 hours to get completely charged. I made the mistake of just charging mine a minimal amount and almost returned it because it was losing time. Then I charged it fully--the 5-6 hour charge is really a necessity for accurate operation. You also need to follow the instructions to set it correctly. Do these things and then wrap it up Christmas Eve and you will be good to go for a fully functional gift. It may still need to be sized as the band is a bit long. Go ahead and fork over the cash to have a jeweler do that. This is a beautiful watch and you don't want to mess it up by having an amateur mess with the links.

  This was a gift for my wife. 17 months later it has stopped and will not run. When I called the Seiko repair facility, I was told that the watch would have to be sent to them before they could tell me whether it is under warranty. They could not tell me an approximate cost. When I asked questions, the representative told me that the watch does not have a battery, only a solar cell. The instruction manual says that it has a battery that is charged by the solar cell. It quickly became evident that the extent of the representative's knowledge was the address to send the watch.
  
  The Seiko repair website stated that the cost to repair is more than the original cost of the watch. The repair website also stated that the warranty is one year, so it is out of warranty.
  I will not ever buy another Seiko product.

  I love Seiko watches but didn't want to wear my special Seiko for everyday use. ( Its very old and works perfectly though.) This watch has the classic look which I like, and it uses solar technology which I love. The numbers and date are easy for me to see (like my other watch, my eyes are also older..) Its simple to change the time and I even figured out how to change the calendar the first time I tried (hey - thats a big success for me!) Whenever I am not wearing it, I place it on a windowsill for some exposure to light. Another big plus for this watch is that it is so simple to open and close...you know....my hands are getting older right along with the with my older watch, my eyes etc. I am so pleased with this product!

  This watch has a very bad section in the user's manual - the section on setting the date. It mentions pulling the crown out to the second stop to set the date and it's very ambiguous and indecipherable. While trying to set the date by pulling the crown out to the second stop, the crown pulled (completely) out of the watch. Note: I am not Hercules or Superman. At this point, when the crown was inserted back into the watch, it wouldn't stay in the watch. Other than that, it's a great watch! But I returned it because we wanted one that allows for the date and time to be set.

  My last Seiko was slightly smaller - no numbers or date. Very petite. Loved it. After 40 years and much abuse from everyday living it died. Ah, but I am older and the eyes work well for a 71 year old. But a little larger would be nice since I keep getting older - Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Anyway, with covid hanging around and being mind full and busy I do loose track of the days. They all run together. The date is a great feature. Seiko was good to me once, so therefore I expect it to be great again and last the remainder of my days, even if I do make it to 100.

  I had bought this Solar rechargeable watch for my wife with the hopes that I wouldn't have to deal with the periodic battery replacements required of her other watches. I was sadly disappointed to find that I'm still having to replace the battery periodically and the replacement battery is TEN times the cost of the lithium batteries in our other watches!
