My dentist recommended these whitening strips to me after I told her about my problems using whitening toothpaste, and they were about $30 cheaper online compared to buying them through the dentist!
Per my dentist's recommendation, I have been repeating the 5-day treatment every six months until I get my desired whiteness. I don't think there is anything that will keep your teeth white forever, but the results of Sheer White strips are visible for a long time. In my case, I have been using them for the past two years and I've never been happier with any other whitening strips or paste.
My mouth has become sensitive, so many whitening products have hurt my teeth or irritated my gums. Sheer White feels much more gentle, yet has so much power. During the 5-day treatment period, I would leave them on about 60-90 minutes and notice the difference after the second day. The application is pretty similar to other strips; just don't get too much saliva on the whitening part or the strips will slide around on your teeth and you'll taste the product (which tastes no different from a regular toothpaste).
Considering you have good dental hygiene, the results of Sheer White will stay with you up to - if not longer than - the second treatment, if you decide you want more whitening. This is a great long-term whitening product and I don't have any complaints; it works amazing on my sensitive teeth and now they are about 8 shades lighter. This seems to be a good product. It’s the 4th product I’ve tried for whitening my teeth and so far the only one that has worked, at least a decent amount. I think anyway?! My teeth do seem brighter after the 5 days but still not as white as I’m wanting. But better. I have difficult teeth that don’t whiten easily for some reason. The strips were easy to use and apply and I love that you can wear them overnight- just put them on at bedtime and forget about them until morning. I think they say you shouldn’t wear them for more than 8 hours but what adult actually gets more than 8 hours sleep, so that timeline was fine for me. They have a pleasant mint taste, too. I did not have any sensitivity to them. I would try that again at some point to see if they could get my teeth even whiter.

They whiten decent and they stick on well, almost like a wax that adheres to your teeth; however removing them is a nightmare. The strip almost melts to your teeth and does not come off in a solid strip. It’s as if it dissolves into very sticky and gooey chunks that you have to scrape off your individual teeth. Not to mention my first box had been open and was missing a tray... I don’t think I’d re purchase .

They do create some saliva that I have to spit out every 15 minutes or so, but it's not a big deal. I had used these and was pleased, and then later, gave a whitening charcoal powder a try because I was curious if it was effective. Found the powder a nuisance and went back to the Sheer White strips.

These strips are better than any others I have tried. Very little sensitivity and only if I leave on longer than 1 and 1\2 hours. Easier to use and stay in place well as they are a thicker strip.
